Christian, happily married to my best friend and soul mate for 35 yrs. Blessed with three amazing kids and a career that brings me joy - teaching. I am a Biology nut who studied it as my Minor at The University of Houston - Clear Lake. I taught Life Science to 5 classes of 7th graders for several years, which was amazing. Then I moved on to teach Science to 5th Graders. In Texas, the first time students are tested in Science on the STAAR is in 5th grade, which is why nobody wants to teach it! 🤣 I can’t believe how ignorant kids can be about Science concepts. I am passionate about Scientific Investigations and the Scientific Method. We do a lot of that. You should see the extreme rigor of Texas’ Curriculum for Math and Science …. and well, everything. We push STEM, and I teach that as well. Stereotypes about Texas are ridiculous. We demand a lot from our students!
